Itinerary
Day 1: Sunday's Cairo

Arrival . Meet and greet by your guide who will escort you in a luxury air-conditioned vehicle to your chosen hotel. On route you will be given all the practical information about your tour. Check in and overnight.
Possibility to do an optional excursion to Sound & Lights in the Pyramids area.

Day 2: Monday's Magnificent Thebes

Breakfast in the hotel and transfer to the airport to take an early morning flight to Luxor, accompanied by your Egyptologist to start by discovering Karnak. A vast array of temples, chapels, pylons and other religious sites including a sacred lake. Here over thirty pharaohs contributed to the construction of the buildings, allowing the area to become the most complex and diverse archeological site in Egypt. Wonder at the Hypostyle Hall where you will see 134 massive columns over 10 metres tall with a diameter of over three metres arranged in a grid of 16 rows. Wander among the huge statues sculpted in the likes of pharaohs and Gods. Continue to Luxor Temple, here Alexander the Great claimed he was crowned King of Egypt. Visit the chapels built by Amenhotep III of the 18th Dynasty, Alexander the Great as well as other parts of the temple built by Tutankhamun and Ramesses II. Check in to your cruise ship in time for lunch. Afternoon free to wander the corniche or check out the local souks.

Day 4: Wednesday's Mythical Battles and Crocodiles

Breakfast on board and the possibility to take an early morning hot air ballon ride to fly over the majestic temples while the sun rises a really one in a life time experience. Later on transfer to the necropolis of Thebes which Howard Carter made famous with his incredible discovery of Tutankhamon’s Tomb. Here you will discover the secrets of the Valley of the Kings. Over 60 burial tombs of pharaohs , marvel at the colour of the hieroglyphics preserved from the sun in these underground chambers, where they retain their stunning colours and reveal the stories of the late rulers of Egypt. Carry on to Queen Hatshesput’s
Temple , this magnificent temple is totally unique in Egypt. Its colonnaded terraces, with long ramps and surrounded by steep cliffs make it a fitting tribute to Egypt’s only female pharaoh Then stop off at the Colossi of Memnon the 18 metre high, 700 ton stone statues are the ancient guardians of the necropolis, before returning to your cruise for lunch and the we set sail for Esna .
Afternoon on board to enjoy the scenery as we gently float down the Nile Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Thursday's Cataracts and Camels

Breakfast on board arrival in the Capital of Nubia.
Possible optional visit to the stunning temples of Abu Simbel built by Ramses II and located in the Nubian desert. Lunch on board In the afternoon you will visit the Granite
quarry where you will discover the ingenious method used by the ancient Egyptians to cut the stone for the obelisks Lunch on board. Finally a gentle sail around the Nile and the Elefantine Island on an old-fashioned
Felucca to admire the amazing scenery that inspired Agatha Christie’s most famous novel “Death on the Nile”.

Day 6: Friday's Colorful Cairo

Breakfast on board and transfer to the airport to take your flight back to Cairo.
Possibility to do an optional visit to the Citadel, Alabaster mosque, and Coptic Quarter.

Day 7: Saturday's meet the Pyramids

Breakfast in the hotel and then we are off to discover the mystic secrets of the Pyramids, discover how the ancient Egyptians, through incredible feats of engineering, finally constructed the world’s only remaining Seventh Wonder. Discover why the ancient Egyptians really built and designed these fantastic burial monuments, before visiting the amazing Sphinx and the Temple of the Valley. Possibility to continue with an optional tour of the famous Egyptian Museum, renowned for its extensive collection of Egyptian artifacts, here you will be able to see the famous treasure of Tutankhamon, as well as understand the development of Egyptian culture and art through the ages. Or Alternatively, visit the new GEM museum with its as yet never before seen treasures that cover over 4000 years of Egyptian History.

DAY 9: MONDAY MEMPHIS & SAKKARA

Breakfast in the hotel and then visit Memphis, one of the oldest and most important religious cities of Lower Egypt here we will visit its open-air museum which testifies to the importance of this ancient city, then onwards
to Saqqara the necropolis of the city and site to the very first pyramidal constructions, including Djoser’s famous Step Pyramid.

DAY 10" TUESDAY FAREWELL
