From Dubrovnik’s vibrant start to exploring landmarks in Kotor, Tirana, Ohrid, Bitola, Meteora, Vergina, Thessaloniki, Drama, Kavala, Sofia, and Bucharest, immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of the region. Optional excursions, historic sites, and local cuisine make this journey an unforgettable adventure, culminating in Sofia before going to Bucharest.

Itenirary

Day 1: Dubrovnik-Kotor-Tirana

 

Our transfer will pick you up from the hotel, and we’ll commence our journey with self-guidance with our assistance to Tirana. Along the way, we’ll explore the city of Kotor with a local guide, visiting the Castle of Kotor, Triphun Cathedral, the archive museum, and the Wall of Shame. Kotor Bay is a Natural and cultural-historical region protected by UNESCO. Enjoy some free time in Kotor before continuing our journey to Tirana. Upon arrival at the hotel, check-in, and settle in for an overnight stay. Later in the evening, join a welcome meeting at your hotel with our Ajdinis guide to receive information about the upcoming journey.

Day 2: Tirana to Ohrid with St. Naum

 

After breakfast start the day with a panoramic tour of Tirana, featuring notable landmarks such as Skanderbeg Square, Skanderbeg Statue, Et’hem Bey Mosque, and the Clock Tower.
Next, we’ll make our way to the enchanting city of Ohrid, which is known for its rich history and beautiful scenery. The day offers an optional excursion to visit St. Naum, a picturesque and historic monastery located on the shores of Lake Ohrid. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who wish to explore this beautiful site. The day will conclude with an overnight stay at an Ohrid hotel.

Day 3: Ohrid to Bitola and Meteora (Kalabaka)

 

Following breakfast, you’ll have free time to explore the charming Old Town of Ohrid and immerse yourself in its beauty and culture.
In the afternoon, we’ll set our course for Bitola, a city in Macedonia, where you’ll enjoy a guided city tour. Highlights include visits to the Ishak Bey Mosque, the New Mosque, and Shirok Street.
Time for shopping and a delightful lunch at local restaurants will also be on the agenda.
Our day will end in Kalabaka, where you’ll spend the night at a comfortable hotel.

Day 4: Meteora – Vergina to Thessaloniki

 

Following breakfast at your hotel, travel to the nearby UNESCO-listed Meteora for a tour of the cliff-top monasteries. Visit impressive Byzantine Monasteries built on top of rock towers, providing breathtaking views over the plain. Connect with the Ajdinis Group and meet your personal Guide for an engaging journey, continuing to Vergina tomb of Philip II (The Father of Alexander the Great), and conclude the day in Thessaloniki. Discover landmarks like the White Tower and the Arch of Galerius before retiring to a Thessaloniki hotel.

Day 5: Thessaloniki to Drama, Alistratis Cave & Local Winery, Kavala

 

Start your day with breakfast and a city tour in Drama, uncovering notable sites and enjoying a leisurely stroll in Parko Agias Varmaras. Indulge in free time for lunch and shopping in Drama before progressing to Kavala, where Western and Eastern influences converge seamlessly. We will continue to our optional tour with those passengers who will choose to come to explore Alistratis Cave and a local winery before spending the night in the impressive city of Kavala.

Day 6: Kavala to Sofia

 

After enjoying breakfast, proceed to Sofia, by a guided tour of Sofia’s landmarks, including the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, St. Sofia Basilica, the National Art Gallery Building, and the Presidential Palace concluding the day with a hotel check-in, free time, and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Road to Bucharest (Transfer)

 

Start your day with a hearty breakfast, followed by a transfer to the capital city of Romania. Check-in at your hotel, enjoy some free time, and settle in for an overnight stay.

Day 8: Bucharest Highlights and Farewell

 

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a guided tour of Bucharest’s prominent landmarks. Highlights include Revolution Square, Romanian Atheneum, Villa Crosse Passage, Old Town area, Manuc Inn, Old Princely Court, and many more. This marks the end of your tour, allowing you to reminisce about the fascinating experiences in Bucharest and bid farewell to this vibrant city overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: Enchanting Transylvania Experience. End of the tour

 

After breakfast at your hotel, be prepared to be swept away by the magnificence of Transylvania and its magical places on this day trip from Bucharest. Please note that the visits to Bran Castle (Dracula’s Castle), the medieval town of Brasov, and Peles Castle are optional tours. To partake in these tours, ensure you register in advance before your arrival. Enjoy the guided tour of Bran Castle, explore the medieval charm of Brasov Old Town, visit the exquisite Peles Castle, and relish some free time. Return to the same hotel in Bucharest for another night. Enjoy!
