Introduction
Embark on a captivating journey from Athens to Istanbul, spanning ancient wonders, cultural treasures, and picturesque landscapes. Highlights include exploring Delphi, Meteora’s cliff-top monasteries, and Thessaloniki’s historic landmarks. The tour continues through Drama, Kavala, Sofia, and Istanbul, offering city tours, optional visits to natural gems like St. Naum, Pella, and Alistratis Cave, and cultural experiences. The adventure concludes Cappadocia visiting North of Cappadocia including Devrent, Zelve, Monk Valley, Goreme open air museum, Pigeon Valley, Uchisar Castle and culminates in the enchanting city of Istanbul, marking the end of an unforgettable tour.

Please Note:

-Age: Minimum Age of 8. Whilst there is no Maximum Age set it is assumed the customer is fit enough to take part in the activity or tour. Health documents may be requested.

-Child Discount: Age 8 – 10 sharing room with 2 full paying adults 25% and child will have a fold up bed.

-In Greece the Hellenic National Tourism Organization has decided on a residence fee to be applied on hotel accommodation from 01/01/2018. per night and are not included in the tour price. This tax must be paid by the guests directly to the hotel before the end of the stay.

-Meteora Dress Code: The monasteries have a strict dress code. To enter the monasteries of Meteora you have to adhere to the following rules: Women will need to wear a long skirt, dress or sarong, it’s not enough to keep the knees covered, so no trousers or shorts. Men must wear long pants. Sleeveless shirts are not allowed. Please make sure to have appropriate clothing before visiting the monasteries.

Itenirary

Day 1: Arrival in Athens

 

Upon landing at Athens International Airport, embark on a self-transfer to your hotel. Conclude the day with a hotel check-in, and enjoy free time to explore the vibrant city on your own. Settle in for a comfortable overnight stay in Athens.

Day 2: Explore Athens

 

Start your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel, then embark on planned a half-day guided tour of Athens City and the Acropolis Museum. Highlights include a coach journey past iconic sites like the Greek Parliament and Panathenaic Stadium, followed by an enriching on-foot exploration of the Acropolis, featuring the timeless Parthenon. Return to your hotel for another night in Athens.

Day 3: Athens – Delphi – Meteora (Kalabaka)

 

After a hearty breakfast, embark on a luxurious bus journey northwest to Delphi. Arriving around noon, immerse yourself in the archaeological wonders, including the celebrated Temple of Apollo. After lunch, traverse Central Greece to Kalabaka, a town nestled at the foot of the awe-inspiring Meteora Monasteries. Enjoy an overnight stay in Kalabaka.

Day 4: Meteora (Kalabaka) – Vergina to Thessaloniki

 

Following breakfast at your hotel, travel to the nearby UNESCO-listed Meteora for a tour of the cliff-top monasteries. Visit impressive Byzantine Monasteries built on top of rock towers, providing breathtaking views over the plain. Connect with the Ajdinis Group and meet your personal Guide for an engaging journey, continuing to Vergina tomb of Philip II (The Father of Alexander the Great), and conclude the day in Thessaloniki. Discover landmarks like the White Tower and the Arch of Galerius before retiring to a Thessaloniki hotel.

Day 5: Thessaloniki to Drama, Alistratis Cave & Local Winery, Kavala

 

Start your day with breakfast and a city tour in Drama, uncovering notable sites and enjoying a leisurely stroll in Parko Agias Varmaras. Indulge in free time for lunch and shopping in Drama before progressing to Kavala, where Western and Eastern influences converge seamlessly. We will continue to our optional tour with those passengers who will choose to come to explore Alistratis Cave and a local winery before spending the night in the impressive city of Kavala.

Day 6: Kavala to Sofia

 

Before starting our way to Sofia we will visit the town center of Kavala sightseeing at the old Castle, Imaret – One of the most impressive architectural monuments of the Ottoman period the Aqueduct, port of Kavala then we will continue our way to the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia. Check-in overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Sofia to Istanbul (by flight)

 

Commence your day with a hearty breakfast, then transfer to the airport. We take a regular flight (included, variable times) to Turkey. Arrival in Istanbul, transfer to the hotel, and free time. Detailed information about this part of your trip will be provided in the afternoon.

Day 8: Istanbul

 

After breakfast in your hotel, embark on a guided tour of Istanbul’s highlights, including Hagia Sophia, Sultan Ahmet Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Grand Bazaar, and the Bosphorus. Enjoy the historical city and Istanbul’s nightlife.

Day 9: Istanbul - Cappadocia (by flight)

 

Pick up from your hotel early in the morning and transfer to Istanbul airport. Flight to Kayseri, arrival, meeting at the airport, and transfer to Cappadocia (North of Cappadocia). Explore the Cappadocia, including Devrent, Zelve, Monk Valley, Goreme open-air museum, Pigeon Valley, and Uchisar Castle. After the Cappadocia tour, transfer to the hotel and overnight stay at a cave hotel in Cappadocia.

Day 10: Cappadocia-Istanbul (by flight)

 

Optional Tour a Hot Air Balloon Ride: If you like, we can arrange a Hot Air Balloon Tour early in the morning at 05:30 am. After breakfast and hotel check-out, you’ll be picked up at 09:30 am for the second-day tour of Cappadocia, including Kizilcukur, Cavusin Village, Derinkuyu Underground City, Ortahisar, and Catalkaya. After the tour, transfer to Kayseri airport for the flight back to Istanbul, arriving at 20:50. Transfer to your own booked hotel or the airport. End of services.
